River Park Church has an emerging passion to connect with its
neighbors and see them become vibrant followers of Christ.
This newly developing passion has been captured in both its
mission and vision statements, "Willing to Love; Existing to
Serve" and "Unconditionally loving people in Jesus' name as
we walk through life with them in relationship building,
mentoring and serving." This will be manifested in
practical ways; through the hands of our people, through the
words of our mouth and through the attitudes we display, as
well as through signs, wonders and miracles that only God, in
His power and His timing, can do. Our desire is to
become known as a "church that authentically cares for those
around them."
The atmosphere at
River Park Church is one of laughter, faith and joy - it
is okay to have fun and be a follower of Jesus! While at
the same time we reverently minister to, and strive to
meet the needs of those, walking through the "dark
valleys" in our lives.
We believe that
God wants to reach those who live in and around our
church. He loves them unconditionally and so we ought to
love them in this same way. Our primary ministry is to
our community, secondary to our city, thirdly to our world
and, of course, inwards as well as outwards.
It is our vision
to see history become His-story as the kingdom of this
world becomes the kingdom of our God.
